There was only one game in the NBA today involving an Australian.
Aron Baynes and the Detroit Pistons hosted the Orlando Magic today, losing for one of the few times at home, 98-92. The game also marked the return of the Pistons number one point guard Reggie Jackson.
With Baynes being the only Australian on display today, I was hoping that he would put on a display similar to that of Matthew Dellavedova against the nets or Andrew Bogut in the first quarter against the Chicago Bulls.
Baynes was his typical junkyard dog self. He played only 13 minutes scoring two points on 1-of-3 shooting and collected six rebounds, all defensive.
Unfortunately for Baynes, he did have a plus minus of minus seven but most of the second unit had a negative plus minus.
Detroit now have a day off before they host the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday.
